Global Brain, Local Gain

全球大脑,中国智造

The thesis: the best independent builders operate globally. The best manufacturing, supply chains, and operator networks sit in China. OPC Summit is the first conference designed to bring those two sides into one room — without either side having to cross a visa line.

Who's behind this

A cross-border team: China operations on the ground in Shanghai, international outreach from Shenzhen. More organizer and partner announcements coming.

China Operations & East-West Partnerships

Songping Que

Marketing lead at Neo Blockchain, LLM from Kiel. Leads on-the-ground operations in Shanghai and the partnerships between the Oriental Hub SEZ, Chinese operator communities and international attendees. The bridge between the Chinese institutional side and the foreign builder side.

International Outreach & First Foreigner

Dr. Dominik Dotzauer

Based between Shenzhen and Shanghai. Runs First Foreigner — first-hand reporting on what's actually happening in China's tech scene. Leads international outreach, programming and the foreign-builder side of the summit.

Coming from muShanghai?

Many OPC Summit attendees pair the conference with muShanghai — a 28-day tech immersion in Shanghai (May 10 – June 6, 2026) focused on AI, biotech, robotics, and gaming. The two events are back-to-back by design. See both on the events map.

Frequently asked questions

How can I enter without a Chinese visa?
Shanghai Oriental Hub is a supervised Special Economic Zone designated as "境内关外" — inside China's border but outside its customs. Foreign visitors pre-register online 48 hours before travel and enter through a dedicated channel. No embassy visit, no visa fee, no passport stamp. The zone has been operational since November 28, 2025.
Why no passport stamp?
Because customs never technically admits you to the People's Republic of China in the legal sense — you stay within the supervised zone. For professionals with sensitive travel histories (US security clearance holders, Taiwan passport holders, certain corporate compliance situations) this makes a real difference.
When exactly is the summit?
June 2026. Exact dates are being finalized and will be announced to the notification list first. The summit is scheduled to run shortly after muShanghai (May 10 – June 6) so you can attend both with one trip.
Who is organizing this?
A cross-border team with operations lead by Songping Que (China operations, East-West partnerships) and international outreach by Dominik Dotzauer (First Foreigner). More organizer and partner announcements coming.
How much will tickets cost?
Pricing is being finalized. It will be priced as an indie-builder-accessible conference — not a corporate summit. Notification-list subscribers will get first access and early-bird pricing.
Can I leave the zone to see the rest of Shanghai?
Not without a regular Chinese visa. The zone is self-contained. If you want to see central Shanghai, Pudong, or travel further into China, you'll need a standard tourist visa — but that's a separate choice from attending the summit.
Is the internet restricted inside the zone?
The zone is designed for international business travelers. International-standard connectivity is one of the zone's stated features. Specifics for the summit venue will be confirmed in the agenda announcement.
I'm an investor or partner. How do I get involved?
